TASK#STOMP PowerShell Backdoor Steals Documents, Wi-Fi Passwords, and Clipboard Data

Cybersecurity researchers have revealed a new campaign called TASK#STOMP that uses a PowerShell backdoor to steal sensitive data from compromised systems. The backdoor is capable of harvesting business documents, monitoring the filesystem for new files, and exfiltrating the data. It also steals Wi-Fi passwords and clipboard contents, and can take screenshots. Additionally, the backdoor can accept arbitrary commands, allowing for further malicious activity. The backdoor's abilities enable it to gather a significant amount of sensitive information from compromised hosts.
