CVE-2024-55550

CVE-2024-55550 is a low-severity (CVSS 2.7) vulnerability in Mitel MiCollab. CISA added it to the Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on January 7, 2025, which means exploitation in the wild has been confirmed; US federal agencies had to remediate it by January 28, 2025. CISA also lists it as known to be used in ransomware campaigns, so it should be prioritised accordingly. Mitel has 7 vulnerabilities in the KEV catalog, 5 of them linked to ransomware.

Mitel MiCollab through 9.8 SP2 could allow an authenticated attacker with administrative privilege to conduct a local file read, due to insufficient input sanitization. A successful exploit could allow the authenticated admin attacker to access resources that are constrained to the admin access level, and the disclosure is limited to non-sensitive system information. This vulnerability does not allow file modification or privilege escalation.
