Why Modern SOCs Need Multi-Layered Detections

The traditional cycle of cybersecurity improvements and attacker adaptations has been disrupted by AI-equipped attackers, who are now outpacing defenses. Most intrusions are bypassing endpoint and malware-based detection methods. According to the CrowdStrike Global Threat Report, a significant portion of attacks, approximately 79%, are malware-free, indicating a shift in tactics by threat actors. This change in approach is allowing attackers to evade traditional detection methods. The result is that many attacks are going undetected by conventional security measures. Threat actors are relying on new methods that do not involve malware to carry out their attacks.
