Using AI for Weapons Development

Anthropic has released a document detailing misuses of their Claude models, including by a group of threat actors in northern Yemen. This group is reportedly running three weapons development programs, one of which involves a guided rocket with homing guidance. Another program is focused on developing a multi-stage ballistic missile with a range goal of over 2,000 km. A third program involves a multi-variant missile, known as the R2000 set, which includes a hypersonic glide vehicle variant. These programs utilize various technologies, including a commodity phone-class flight computer. The document provides insight into the current misuses of Anthropic's models.
