Trojanized Newtonsoft.Json Fork Hides Game-Rigging Code in a Working Library

Cybersecurity researchers have found a malicious NuGet package that disguises itself as a working library. The package, named Newtonsoftt.Json.Net, is a trojanized version of the Newtonsoft.Json library and is designed to manipulate live game results on Digitain. Unlike typical malware, it is not focused on stealing information. Seven versions of the package have been published, indicating an ongoing effort to distribute the malicious code. The package's functionality as a working library makes it particularly deceptive. It targets the Digitain platform, suggesting a specific goal of rigging game results.
