Security Vulnerability in a Voting System

A security vulnerability in a voting system has been found to be still exploitable, allowing the recovery of the order of ballots cast. This vulnerability can be exploited using AI tools, without needing to access voting machines, networks, or non-public information. The vulnerability was originally disclosed nearly four years ago, but it was still possible to analyze voter behavior in Georgia's recent primary election using this method. The exploit used publicly available data sources, including the early-voting list, to gather information. The affected voting scanners are used in 21 states, including Georgia. The vulnerability was exploited remotely using a coding agent and publicly available data.
