A drone has been used by the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office to disarm a suspect. The drone was deployed inside a residence where the suspect was hiding and retrieved a knife from the suspect's hand using a high-powered magnet. The operation was controlled by an officer wearing goggles. The suspect had been unresponsive to negotiators prior to the drone's deployment. The incident was documented in a video posted on the sheriff's office Instagram page. The drone located the suspect hiding in a corner of a garage before disarming them.
