Popular WordPress SEO Plugin Rank Math PRO Hijacked to Deliver Self-Restoring Backdoor

A security issue was discovered in the paid version of the Rank Math SEO plugin for WordPress, known as Rank Math PRO. The problem occurred in copies downloaded from the official website or delivered as updates during a specific time frame on October 15 and 16. These copies contained malware. As a result, any website that installed and activated one of the affected copies is considered compromised. The malware delivered a self-restoring backdoor, according to reports. Websites that installed the affected plugin version should take immediate action to address the potential security breach.
