Operation QUICSILVER Targets Myanmar Government and IT with QUICAgent Backdoor

Researchers have identified a cyber espionage campaign, known as Operation QUICSILVER, that targets Myanmar's government and IT sectors. The campaign uses fake graduation ceremony invitations to deliver a backdoor called QUICAgent, which is written in Go. This malicious activity is believed to be the work of a threat actor with ties to China and is considered to be of moderate sophistication. The QUICAgent backdoor is the primary malware used in this campaign. Seqrite Labs has been tracking this activity, which suggests a focused effort to compromise specific sectors in Myanmar.
