North Korean hackers infect thousands of devices across 100 countries as part of ‘WaterPlum’ campaign

A group of cyber actors known as WaterPlum is allegedly stealing cryptocurrency from job applicants by posing as companies in the AI or blockchain sector. The FBI and US Defense Department have partnered with law enforcement agencies in Japan, Australia, and Germany to issue an advisory about this threat. The WaterPlum campaign has reportedly infected thousands of devices across 100 countries. The attackers are targeting job applicants as part of their operation.
