The exploit is being used to deploy a previously unseen backdoor, targeting companies in the defense and aerospace sectors. The affected countries include France, Germany, Brazil, and India. This activity is linked to Operation Dream Job, a long-running cyber espionage campaign. The vulnerability was recently patched by Microsoft. The backdoor is a new, unidentified malware variant.
