Is Your SOC Ready for AI Agents? A Maturity Check Before You Deploy

A significant portion of security teams are already utilizing AI daily, with 40% doing so, and an additional 56% are currently testing it. Only a small percentage, 4%, have no plans to adopt AI. This data comes from a survey of over 250 CISOs, SOC leaders, and practitioners conducted by Prophet Security. The survey is part of the State of AI in Security Operations 2026 report. For teams that are still in the testing phase, the next step is to assess their SOC's readiness for AI deployment. AI SOC readiness consists of two key components, although only one of them is specified as whether a SOC has a particular capability.
