These platforms were operated by a group known as QTFY, which is linked to a Chinese company called Nanjing Xinjiuwei Network Technology Company. The disruption is part of an effort to counter the group's data theft activities targeting US organizations. The QTFY group is believed to be state-sponsored. The hacking platforms were used to steal data from US organizations. The disruption was announced by the Department of Justice.
