Fake Apple Support AI Calls Target Stolen-Device Owners for Passcodes and 2FA Codes

Cybersecurity researchers have uncovered a phishing platform that targets owners of stolen Apple devices, using AI voice agents to pose as Apple Support. The platform, known as AnonyMousKIT, uses these fake calls to request device passcodes from victims. The goal of the platform is to remove Apple's Activation Lock from stolen devices. The AnonyMousKIT platform operates on a credit-metered basis, and it spreads lures to achieve its objectives. The research was conducted by the SOCRadar Threat Research Unit. This platform is designed to facilitate phishing attacks on a large scale.
