Claude AI Just Cracked a Post-Quantum Test Scheme and Found a Faster 7-Round AES Attack

Claude AI has successfully cracked a post-quantum test scheme and discovered a faster attack on 7-round AES. The AI system, Claude Mythos Preview, was used to derive an end-to-end key-recovery attack against HAWK-256. This attack exploits a previously unused symmetry in the lattice behind the signature scheme. As a result, the attack on 7-round AES-128 is significantly faster, with a speedup of 200 to 800 times. The implementation of the HAWK attack can be completed in approximately three hours and 42 minutes on a 96-core server.
