Bitget Says Attacker Exploited Third-Party Security Product Flaw to Steal $388M

Bitget reported that an attacker stole approximately $388 million from the cryptocurrency exchange by exploiting a vulnerability in a third-party security product used by the exchange. The attacker used this flaw to obtain high-level internal credentials, which were then used to send fraudulent withdrawal commands to Bitget's wallet system on September 24. The vulnerability allowed the attacker to gain access to the exchange's systems, resulting in the significant theft. The exchange has acknowledged the breach and attributed it to the third-party security product flaw.
