BengalSEO Poisons Bing Search Results to Deliver MayaBot and Tech Support Scams

Cybersecurity researchers have revealed a large-scale search engine optimization poisoning campaign known as BengalSEO. This campaign has been used to deploy malware and facilitate tech support scams. BengalSEO has been operating from the Indian state of Rajasthan since at least 2015. The campaign is linked to two IT service providers, WeConnect. The discovery of BengalSEO was made by the DFIR Report in March 2026. The campaign specifically targets Bing search results to deliver malware such as MayaBot.
