Apple macOS Screen Sharing Flaw Exploited on Internet-Exposed Macs to Install Monero Miner

A security flaw in Apple macOS is being actively exploited to install a cryptocurrency miner on internet-exposed Macs. The vulnerability, which has a high CVSS score, is a critical authentication issue in the Screen Sharing component. It can be exploited by an attacker who already has network access. The Netherlands National Cyber Security Centre has issued a warning about the exploitation. The flaw has been recently patched by Apple.
