Apple Fixes Hide My Email Bug That Exposed Real Addresses in Mail Logs

Apple has fixed a security flaw in its Hide My Email service that was exposing users' real email addresses. The issue was undermining the feature's intended privacy guarantees. A fix for the problem was deployed by Apple after it was disclosed to the company by Tyler Murphy, co-founder of EasyOptOuts. The disclosure was made more than a year before the fix was implemented, which occurred on July 3, 2026. The vulnerability was reported by 404 Media.
