Anthropic Restores Claude Fable 5 After U.S. Lifts Jailbreak-Linked Export Controls

Anthropic is reinstating Claude Fable 5 globally after the US Commerce Department lifted export controls on the platform. The controls had been in place for about two and a half weeks and also affected Mythos 5. Fable 5 will be available again to users starting July 1 through various Claude services. The export controls had restricted access to Fable and its sibling platform. Anthropic's move to restore Fable 5 comes after the US lifted these restrictions on June 30. The platform will be accessible across multiple Claude platforms, including Claude.ai and Claude Code.
