Amadey and StealC Malware Network Disrupted, 27M Stolen Credentials Recovered

A joint operation between law enforcement and private companies has successfully disrupted the infrastructure supporting Amadey and StealC malware. This effort was undertaken in collaboration with several major companies, including Bitdefender, Bitsight, ESET, and Microsoft. The goal of the operation was to disrupt the systems used by cybercriminals to launch various types of attacks. As a result of the takedown, approximately 27 million stolen credentials were recovered. The operation aimed to target the underlying infrastructure used for ransomware, financial fraud, and attacks on critical infrastructure. Europol was involved in the effort, which was designed to undermine the capabilities of cybercriminals.
