Alleged TeamPCP Hackers Charged in Australia Over Major Supply Chain Attacks

Two men from Western Australia have been charged by the Australian Federal Police in connection with their alleged involvement in the cybercrime group TeamPCP. The charges, totaling 14 offenses, are related to the group's role in several major supply chain attacks. The attacks included the compromise of open-source security scanners and an AI gateway. The accused, Louis Michael Gaebler and Ruben Ian Thomson, aged 23 and 21 respectively, appeared in court on August 27. They are alleged to have been involved in the March 2026 attacks on Trivy, Checkmarx KICS, and LiteLLM. The men were charged in Perth Magistrates Court.
