CVE-2018-19943

CVE-2018-19943 is a high-severity (CVSS 8.0) vulnerability in QNAP Network Attached Storage (NAS). CISA added it to the Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on May 24, 2022, which means exploitation in the wild has been confirmed; US federal agencies had to remediate it by June 14, 2022. CISA also lists it as known to be used in ransomware campaigns, so it should be prioritised accordingly. QNAP has 11 vulnerabilities in the KEV catalog, 9 of them linked to ransomware.

If exploited, this cross-site scripting vulnerability could allow remote attackers to inject malicious code. QNAP has already fixed these issues in the following QTS versions.
